About The Photographer:

Matthew was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas; home of the Alamo & delectable Tex-Mex food.

His passion for photography was established early in life during high school when Matthew began contributing to his school's photo-journalism program. Shortly after graduating, Matthew became a freelance photo-journalist for Cleveland, Ohio based Alternative Press Magazine. In addition to contributing to AP-Mag, Matthew began working for clients such as Virgin Records, Capitol Records, Sony BMG and many other notable record labels and artists. In 2007, with no formal college education or training in his field, Matthew built a comprehensive commercial photography portfolio and solidified his professional photography career.

A year later however, Matthew's freelance photography work would end up taking a back seat as his family decided to relocate to Maui, Hawaii.  That same year, in the Summer of 2008, "Beloved" was born and thus Matthew was thrusted into the field of wedding photography. 

Today, Matthew is a successful wedding photographer in Hawaii and has photographed numerous amounts of happy newlyweds in the past 5 years. "I absolutely loved working in the commercial realm prior to becoming a wedding photographer. One day I hope to really be able to dive back into that but right now nothing pleases me more than capturing the raw emotion between a husband and his bride. It isn't superficial by any means and holds a big place in my heart as I myself am blessed enough to be married to the woman of my dreams. Furthermore, as a photo-journalist, there is nothing more fun than capturing the details, the locations, the atmosphere of a couple's wedding day and all the facets associated with a wedding celebration."

Matthew has a wife named Chanelle and a 2 year old son named Mikael. His son's name is a spin off of Michael, Matthew's older brother who passed away at the age of 7 when Matthew was only 3 years old. When not on photo shoots or working with wedding clients, Matthew enjoys cooking, good whiskey, bodybuilding, movies with his wife and loving on his son constantly.

Matthew gives all the glory to God for his family, his business and his innate talents behind a camera.
